My mother in law received a bill in the mail for $998 for magazines she never received back in 2012. She had never received a bill before this one. They called the number on the bill and the customer service rep wanted them to give a credit card or bank information to "settle" the bill for a lesser amount. She had received a few magazines in the last year that she never subscribed to but placed them back in the mail to return to sender. But this did not take place in 2012 which is when they are claiming the unpaid subscriptions were from.
