This person called and said I had won $18 million and a new car. He kept repeating that he worked for a legitimate company and that this was not a scam. I said I was skeptical and he said he would deliver the money. He called me Sweetheart and I asked him not to do so. He gave me a confirmation number and then asked me to repeat it. He then asked me if I was a legal resident and I told him I was not going to give out any personal information unless I knew this was a real company and offer. He then used vulgar language to describe what he would do to me. I hung up. He called back and my husband told him that we were going to call the BBB and hung up. The man called back 4 or 5 more times but I did not answer. I knew this was a scam call but this was the second time in a month that I received one like this and I was frustrated by it. I wanted to find out what they did and let him know that I did not believe him/them.

Caller indicated he was from 'Publisher Clearing House" and that i had won. Wanted bank account details.

A friend of ours received a phone call on her land line from a party claiming to be Publisher's Clearing House telling her that she had won a large prize.

She was told that, in order to claim her money, she needed to send them $1900. Fortunately, she had to contact her financial advisor to transfer funds and they told her that this was a scam.

She provided the very scanty details she had obtained to the Attorney General's office.

Don't know how common this is, but she certainly would have been taken if she had the funds in her account.

I received a call on my cell phone on Friday Jan. 20, 2017 from David King who stated that I had won a Publisher's Clearing House prize for $2.5 Million dollars and a Mercedes Auto. When I tried to gain more info, he told me that his business was closing for the day and asked me to call back the next day. I tried to contact him the next morning he answered, but, said he was on another line and would call me back later. He never did. I assumed it was a scam.

I did a Google Chrome request to find out what part of the country call area code 876 was from, and the answer was Jamaica. I then asked what scams were tied to Jamaica and ones similar to mine were listed.

They call say they are from publishers clearing house are coming to your door and then ask you to get a moneygram for 255.00 to give to them... They lie you when you tell them you are calling publishers clearing house to verify they hang up

I was told that I won a car and a bunch of money, I just needed to set up a new bank account so that they could deposit me $5,000 in that account. When I told the guy I wasn't giving him any info until I spoke to the ScamPulse.com he said "Don't do that, they'll tell you it is a scam"

- Amarillo, TX, USA

Said I had won big but needed to pay $380 then negotiated down to $50 for them to deliver my money. Said they had me on their GPS and had someone in the area ready to bring my millions. Called BBB instead to be sure it was a scam.

I got a phone call from "Mark Anderson" saying that I had won a sweepstakes in the amount of $3.5 million dollars from Publishers Clearing House, requesting that I call him back Monday am because he had some paperwork to do. Then he would show up at my door with a certified check for $3.5 million, plus a 2017 Mercedes Benz. What threw me off was the fact that he did not ask for any personal information, but I told him that I was working Monday am, but I would call him back on Wednesday am. I am going to assume that the call-back is when he would attempt to get my personal information. Well, he's going to be disappointed, because I'm mot calling him back Wed, or any other day.
