I was called and told I had won publishing clearing house. 5.5 million dollars. He told me his name was Frank Wilson from publishing clearing house. He gave me a packet code of 848958028734 and a ticket code that was my phone number. Stated they could show up at my house or bank. He asked questions that he wanted me to answer yes to. He wanted to know a benifiiciary. He wanted to know what type of vehicle i would be driving to meet them at my bank. He told me the check would be delivered today. He told me he worked for Mary White and Mr. Bob Stone. He wanted me to write down all the information and the read it back to him. He told me the phone call was being monitored and recorded. I did tell him what truck I would meet them in. He then wanted me to repeat everything back to him i had just written down. Though out the phone call i kept telling him this was a scam. He assured me it wasnt. I think this was a fishing phone call. I didnt give bank or personnel information. When he asked me to repeat everything I had written down and I refused, he stated a was disqualified and hung up.

My friend's Facebook had had messaged me that she'd won $100,000 and more from Publishers Clearing House (PCH). The phone # 802-368-1312 was listed for me to call Agent David Lawrence of the PCH and Dept. of Health Human Services to claim my winnings of $100,000. When I called that number, Mr. Lawrence told me that I had to pay $1350 and give him all my personal identity information, in order for me to claim my prize. I told him I didn't have any money and I wouldn't give him my identity information. He told me I should ask people to loan me the $1350, so I could collect my great winnings. I told him no one would loan me that kind of money. He hung up. I messaged my friend on Facebook who had the big winnings and asked if she could loan me the money. She told me she couldn't, but that she hoped I could find it somewhere. I think my friend's Facebook account got hacked and this is all a scam.

I received a call this morning from a gentleman asking if I was home? Had I checked my mail this morning for notification of winning the Publishers Clearing House $2.5Million prize? I foolishly told him I wasn't home (however I have neighbors watching the house for me) The caller informed me I needed to contact -- Joe Carter at 1-876-0653 to arrange delivery of the registration for me to receive the $2.5Million check. I would then need to go to the local WalMart and confirm the registration, along with the men who will be delivering the check, and they would receive 2% of the $2.5Million once we take the registration slip & the $2.5Million check to my bank.

I told him I've never heard of the winnings being handled this way. He said it was because of the "new government" that they had to take the 2.5% once I put the check in my bank.

I gave them no personal information, no bank name or account number. I did however, give the man on the phone an alternative address so the Publishers Clearing House people could deliver the check to my work address. He said they would go with me to my bank, after we go to WalMart.

I believe this was a scam.

I keep receiving mail from a 'Publishers Clearing House' claiming that I have been selected as a winner in the '100 Million Dollars Super Cash Giveaway Promotion'. The letter came with a check written in my name to the amount of $7,897.00 They instruct you to call a number on the letter before depositing the check. This is a scam!

Told me i won 5.5 million dollars from Publishers Clearing House, but i had to pay a $999 fee to receive the money

Received a phone call stating they were Publishers Clearing House and that I had won $25,000. I needed to send $800 for taxes in order to receive the money. I told the gentleman that I did not have $800 to pay so they would have to find a new winner. The gentleman called back a few days later and said they would reduce the fee to $200. Someone is supposed to show up to my door at 1pm today to deliver the money. I did not send any money and called the BBB to find out this is a scam, I should not have to pay money to receive a prize or sweepstake.

- Charlotte, NC, USA

PCH is calling asking for $299 for S&H + taxes for $2.5MM (a certified check she can expect to receive). The $299 was to be paid with a Walmart money gram sent to Ozella McCuin. When she purchased the money gram she was to stay on the phone and give William Johnson (on phone), ID# 0755710PCH the details and then he would tell her where/how to send it. They would then deliver the check to the house and "did she want it private or on tv"? She hung up and nothing happened after the phone call.

Publisher's Clearing House will send the prize if you pay $5,000 wire transfer at Wal Mart.

Today, I received a call from a man who stated that I won $3 million from Publishers Clearing House. The call was from Kingston, Jamaica and the phone number was from (876)-522-6607. He said that I won this large sum of money, but I needed to send $106 to them for taxes in order to receive this amount of money from them. I knew that it was a scam and I hung up the phone.

I received a call this morning from Publishers Clearing House telling me that I had won $950,000 thru Bank of America and a new car. They told me to send $40 by Western Union and I did that and then they wanted me to send $100 more which I did not do.

I received a call from a man who claims he is from the PUBLISHERS CLEARING HOUSE. He stated that his name is Bill Diamond. His badge# 5264BC. The attorney who's name is Mary Myers is going to come and collect $799. in taxes. Which I need to have today. The taxes are just 1% of the whopping 6.5 Million dollars plus a brand new 2016 Mercedes Benz, convertible no less!!! What a great way to start off my day, and I've only had one cup of coffee!!! Right away I knew it was a SCAM, I have caller ID and it came up Jamaica. Before I answered I thought to myself, "OH WHY NOT, LET'S GET THIS DAY STARTED!!"

A man called stating that I won 7.5 million dollars and a luxury car(pearl white Mercedes). The only way I could recieve it was to pay 100-150 dollars for shipping and handling to get them to ship the check through UPS. When I began the question him, he became agitated and upset, and began to use vulgar language towards me. I informed him that I was aware that this may be a scam, but he was persistent in convincing me that he was local(Jackson, MS) and that I was missing out. After he realized I had caller id and he wasn't receiving any funds, he ended the call by telling me to "f** off and s** his ***. For the sake of others, I hope that this [censored] is caught.

The caller said he was with the driver for the Publishers Clearing house. He told me that I was a second place winner and he was on my street delivering to the first place winner and will be there shortly. He gave me a number to call, and talk to a person named John Diamond, and was to give him my winner ID number within 10 minutes or I would forfeit my prize. I took the info, said thanks and hung up.

The same person call me back about 1 1/2 hours later to see why I hadn't called, when I told him that I dont do scams he hung up.

When I got home from work and told my wife, she said that she also got a call just moments before my call came in from the same number but never answered.

I have also received a call from John Diamond. He knew my last name but didn’t seem to have any other information.
This is a persistent bunch. They called me over 10 times across 2 days and even exchanged text messages.
I won $17.5 M and a 2024 Mercedes.
He kept calling it “publishers and clearing house” though

- Hillsborough, NH, USA

A Mr. Bob Green called us Sunday evening Feb 12,2017 telling us that because we are US citizens who pay their mortgage and taxes on time have won 4million dollars and a Mercedes Benz, color of your choice. Because of very bad connections, he called back again, told us we needed to call the headquarters of PCH to make arrangements. We called the number and no-one answered. Then at 10:30 p.m. while we were falling asleep he called again, so I dismissed him until the next day. He called Monday afternoon and this time *** spoke with him. ***called the "headquarters" number and spoke with a man who told him we needed to send money...as my husband probed the man with questions and challenged him with facts the amount kept going down. ($1700, $800, $286) The man said to make a Wal-Mart to Wal-Mart transaction to Myrna Palmer of Buffalo,TX. Bill then said we would call back after we spoke with our attorney. We looked info up on-line and found out PCH never does business this way and that over 250 scams were going on in our area. The man called again and *** told him the facts, and the man said of course, the attorney doesn't want you to have the prize....have a nice day. Bob Green had a strange slow way of speaking, my husband says they both sounded foreign...Maybe African. Bob used a term ....are you on board, get on board....expressions seemed unnatural.

Got letter in mail saying person was winner of $600,000 us dollars. Check enclosed is to help with taxes and processing fees. Call 901-877-5371 immediately to speak to claims agent Michael Kings for method of payment. Please keep award letter confidential until your winnings have been processed. See attached for actual letter. I can provide a copy of the actual check also.
