Everything that is stated on this website about the Facebook marketplace scam is completely true. It just happened to me today. All of the wording was the exact same so these scammers are just copy and pasting it to us. Please don’t fall for it!

DAsia Ivory on facebook had a marketplace ad for a free white wurlitzer electric piano. I inquired, she gave me her sisters email, and contact with ‘savannah’ went from there.

Photos i’ve provided have the following conversation

Like others have shared I saw the ad for the free piano. I was then sent a message with an email address to contact. At that point I knew it was a scam but am always curious to know the latest phishing mechanics so I can be on the look out. The email suggested I visit the procourierexpress.com website and provide a referral number to the chat agent. I could tell the website was bogus since none of the sub pages or links within the site work. I researched the chat program used and can tell that anyone can sign up for a free use of it. I reported the account to the chat company but I question their credibility as well. I imagine the next step is that they ask you for money to obtain the promised "free item."

Don't fall for it!

As others mentioned, someone account posted a free keyboard on Fb marketplace. She claimed to post on behalf of her sister. The account is deleted. My boyfriend also reached out to the same account. We were both provided different email addresses. But I emailed and the woman claimed the keyboard belonged to her late husband. She gave me a link to this shipping website to have them reroute the piano. Nothing on the website works except the chat functionality. The chat bot gave me quotes for shipping prices for hundreds of dollars. Insisted the item cannot be picked up. This is a scam and I realized that from the moment the scammer emailed me a second time saying “ It's great to read your reply again and how're you doing today? Indeed I'll say it's a dream come true, you will definitely enjoy the beauty of playing and making records on such a magnificent instrument.”. But it’s been fun to follow through and see how far these scammers will take it!

It was just too good to be true, but this scam was very sophisticated - I found an ad for a free electric piano via FB on behalf of the sister of the user (account was deleted or simply cannot be found nowadays) - got an email to reach - we exchanged a few with the lady, the story was that instrument belonged to a husband who recently passed away, and is not for sale, the lady was simply looking for a passionate player who would take care of it. Since she has already moved from the house and she didn't want to leave it there, the instrument is now with the moving company I should reach via live chat on their website - she gave me a tracking ID and sent me a link to https://procourierexpress.com
The communication was very fast, they asked for the name, an address and cell and then they sent calculation of the rerouting of package:

Service Type | Delivery Duration | Charges/Fees.

ClassicExpress (5-7 Working days)
Shipping: $470.00
Insurance: $65.00
TOTAL: $535.00

PremiumExpress (2-5 Working days)
Shipping: $680.00
Insurance: $65.00
TOTAL: $645.00

ProExpress (2 Working days only)
Shipping: $920.00
Insurance: $65.00
TOTAL: $985.00

I ran through the website and found that nothing really works except the live chat. If you take a closer look, website is very questionable, although it looks trustworthy at first sight.
Was looking for some other informations, but I just found this scam pulse site, overall google doesn't say much about the company.

Hope this will save somebody's money.

Wow! I almost just fell for the identical scam, yesterday and today... Damn! Every bit of it was exactly the same, from the people's names to all the the wordings to the sister to the dead husband!
THANKS FOR POSTING!

Hey I found a post about a free Wurlitzer on FB, I messaged the poster. She sent me an email address. I exchanged some emails with the person at that email address, and that person claimed the instrument was her dead husband's piano, and because she was moving and no longer had space for the piano, she wanted to give it to a passionate musician. The person sent me the same link you received and a Reference ID number. When I visited the website I noticed there was no way to call the company, and that none of the links worked. I reached someone via chat, but I have yet to fully respond because I started getting suspicious. I am so glad I found your post. Thank you for sharing.

On 12/13/21, I purchased an xbox series x through Blackjet Gaming Store.
I paid $600 and was told the item would be shipped free. I was then given a tracking number and told Pro courier express would ship the item. The next day I received a text message from Pro courier express stating that I needed to not $400 in insurance that would be reimbursed when delivered. I confirmed with Blackjet Gaming Store and they explained it would be reimbursed. I send Blackjet Gaming $400 for the insurance since Pro courier did not have a zelle account that could receive money. Then, on 12/18/21, I contacted pro courier to find out where my package was ( tracking information was a disaster and never updated) and they reported the item was in Philadelphia and would be delivered that day. About 10 minutes later, I received a message from the courier stating that the item was on hold in Pittsburgh and needed a city stamp due to covid and the cost was $300 dollars and would be refunded at delivery. I sent them $300 with delivery that day. The item never arrived and I called Pro courier on 12/20/21 to find out my phone number was blocked and Blackjet Gaming will also not respond to messages or Phone. Pro courier Express is a scam. Do not give them any money. They have an elaborate scam running with Blackjet Game Store and probably others. I am trying to get the word out about these companies.

This “company” is connection with an elaborate shopping scam. They say the shipping is paid for but they want to charge you insurance equal to the amount of the item. So if your item costs 1000 they want you to pay 1000 as a “refundable deposit”. They will not tell you where your package is so you can go pick it up. Nor will they send your item back to the shipper (which is very illegal). These people are the absolute worst. All theyll show you is a terribly typed and grease stained picture of their policy.

I just experienced the same issue with them and couldn’t agree more. I’m wondering how many of these scams they are running. I am trying to report them to as many government agencies as possible in hopes that someone will investigate what they are doing.
