I received a call to my business purporting to be PPL Electric, they asked for me by name, and had enough identifying info to convince me it was legit. They asked for my account number and the payment confirmation number of my paid bills, and then told me if I dont pay the total of those bills, my electric would be shut off. They convinced me enough that I went to a local Walmart to attempt to use the barcode/code they gave me, and the clerk wouldnt do it without official documented request, and alerted me that it was most likely a scam. I called the real PPL to confirm, they confirmed and made a note and updated my account security, and advised me to make reports here, with the FTC, and the PUC.
