On 3/27/2025 2:11pm, I received a text to my cell phone with a link for South Land Title portal. This is not our title company that we a working with to purchase a house. I blocked the phone number since it's a scam. I sent a message to South Land Title company through their website https://www.southlandtitle.net/ since it's looks like a valid Title company in the Galveston, Texas area. I notified them that it appears someone is impersonating them.

The phone number that the following text came from is: +1 (844) 495-8325

Here's the text:

Closinglock: South Land Title is using Closinglock to securely share information during the closing process. Login to take action: https:// portal.closinglock.com/jBm/ZaeDD

I did not click the the or send them money but it freaked me out since we are closing on a house on April 1st and plan on wiring a very large amount of money to Alamo title company in Houston.
