Scammed while trying to buy a Maine Coon kitten online
We got the confirmation from Rokaway paws transportation company that the kitten will be delivered on Friday. They sent us tracking info and flight info. Next day they said kitten can not travel in the krate owner dropped her we need to rent one for 850. We Zelle the money, next day the told us kitten is stuck because she is not insured initially they requested 1500 but I told them I don’t have it I was then told to come up with the money or it will be abandonment of the pet and I may face chrges or jail time. Then they drop it to 700. So we sent it. Then next day they informed us the kitten had to be quarantine due to exposure to sick dog from different company. Requesting 500 more for quarantine and vaccination fee. I did not sent that amount and ask them to contact the responsible party involved to pay and have the kitten delivered she has been in transit for days. They said no we need to sent the money immediately so she can be released other wise it will be bad for me. I have stopped responding to the email.
