I messaged someone named Steven Edge and told him I wanted the little bull. I sent $400 to Anthony Jackson via Western Union to Knoxville, Tennessee. I messaged a copy of the receipt to Steven Edge. He messaged me back a copy of the shipping ticket and the name of the company that was supposed to haul it. He said it would be delivered on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
On Wednesday, the 28th, I received a bill for $900 for an insurance deposit to deliver the bull, and they said the money was 100% refundable. I called Route Haven Cargo Company, but no one answered. I left a message asking them to call me back, but they never did. I had already sent the other half of the payment on Wednesday. I also messaged Steven Edge a copy of that receipt.
When I got the bill for $900, I messaged Steven and asked what it was for. He said it was an insurance deposit to deliver the bull. I told him I wasn’t paying it because he should have told me up front that there would be a delivery fee. He said it rarely happens. I told him, “So you pick and choose who you charge a delivery fee to?” I said I felt like I was getting scammed.
He kept trying to get me to pay the $900, but I wouldn’t do it because I had a feeling I wasn’t getting the calf—and they never took the bull down off the site even after I paid for it. Steven and I had words. I kept every message I sent him and every one he sent me. I told him he could send me my money back since they weren’t going to deliver the calf I paid for. He never responded. He would dodge answering some of my questions.
