This scammer sent me a letter saying I owe Maryland state delinquent income tax of year 2014 for $1405.99. I did not have income from state of Maryland for 2014 at all, so I called the scammer for support document 3 weeks ago and was told they would send me one. So far I have received nothing. Therefore I called them again and asked when the support document was sent out. The receiver hung up phone right away.

They claim that I owe a debt on a "use tax" for a vehicle I purchased in 2013. The tax was supposedly assessed by the Cook County Dept. of Revenue. Although I did purchase a new vehicle that year, I did not purchase it in Cook County, nor did I live in Cook County when the vehicle was purchased (nor any time thereafter). This is clearly a scam, and I will not be sending them any money.
