Text-based interview and suspicious job offer request
Received an interview request.
The interview was held on ringcentral.com.
The interview was text based with no video and had obvious easy questions.
23 hours later I received an offer of employment email from the same name but different address.
The email asked me to sign an offer letter and fill out a form for getting a home office. That form asked for ID and other PII.
Up to that point, the communications had been questionable, there was no web presence and there was no mention of EIN or if the employment would be w2, etc.
