I received an invoice from PayPal for Microtik LLC. There is no other information attached to the invoice, just a dollar amount they want me to pay. I cannot find a record of this company at all.

I was sent an email from the [email protected] address regarding an unpaid invoice. There was a number to call if this seem inaccurate. I called the number and in their attempt to troubleshoot, conned me out of the $1917. I have phone numbers and call recordings to back this up, The claimed they worked for PayPal, but obviously did not.

They used the phone numbers 612 813 9881 & 612 444 4232.

Then then flooded my phone with calls and attempts to take even more money from me.

Two e-mails were sent from paypal, stating my account was being debited. By a "James Serrano". I went to to the paypal site on my phone and got paypal's number. When I called the number a suspicious voice came on the line. It sounded like the person was in there home with casual/socializing noise in the background. I stated that the situation will be reported and closed the call. I immediately closed my paypal account, deleted the app from my phone and made this report. The number I called was 888-809-8283 a paypal number. The entire experience made me extremely uncomfortable and I will not use paypal or recommend it to anyone. They have poor security measures and little regard for their customers. You cannot even get a live representative to assist with help. POOR!!!

I was notified by PayPal of suspicious activity on my account. I verified the email was generated from PayPal and then viewed my PayPal account, and indeed, there was suspicious activity. I called the # provided however, the # was right to the scammer. Of course he was most helpful and wanted to make my account secure. (Hindsight, PayPal is already secure) I gave him access to my computer. He manipulated bank accounts to appear that PayPal deposited $20,000 instead of $2000. I was then told I needed to return it to PayPal. Thankfully the loss stopped at $9k vs $20k. They are shameless criminals and must be stopped.

I got a real charge on my PayPal account, and at the same time an email from [email protected] with a phone number to call.

I called. They said it was PayPal security, they said a hacker had access of my account and computer. And convinced me to install software. They then “accidentally” returned $5000 instead of $500 into my account.

They then started an intense campaign of scare tactics to get me to send the money to them.

Unfortunately I made this horrible mistake.

I received an email from paypal.com. The email address was legitimate. It told me there was fraud on my account. I clicked on the phone number in the email. The phone number let me to fraudster. They asked me to download a Web viewer onto my computer. Then they asked me to open up my bank account. I almost lost a lot of money. I reported this fraud to paypal.com on August 16. It is now August 30, and I continue to receive these emails from PayPal that are fraudulent. In addition after I changed all of my bank account information and got new credit cards, I changed my account information in PayPal. Then I received what I believe was a legitimate email from PayPal asking me to finish setting up my PayPal account. However the legitimate PayPal email did not conform to PayPal security protocols. I find this extremely problematic. I have canceled my PayPal account entirely. I am a palled at a company as big as PayPal cannot get this fraud problem under control.
