This company USA Passport and Visa is a scam. They charge you $130 to complete a form that is free to complete on a gov website. They target people that are not used to completing passport and visa applications. DO NOT USE THEM. Get the forms on line for no cost

- Pittsburgh, PA, USA • Feb 23, 2026

The website uspassportandvisa.org comes up as the first search option in Google when looking for how to renew your US passport. This is NOT a government website and CANNOT renew a US passport. It takes personally identifiable information and generates a form to send to the US government for a fee of over $100. The user then needs to send the government an additional fee for the passport to be renewed. The website looks like it is government affiliated, but it is not. It should not be coming up in search results and puts consumers at risk for accidentally sharing their highly sensitive information, such as full social security number, home address, place of work, and full name.

This is a scam company that doesn't provide passport processing.

- Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA • Feb 19, 2026

The website looks like the official government page for passport application. It uses the similar information gathering tool to prepare the passport application. At the end, it asks to charge the similar fee as the official website which sounds like going towards the passport book cost, but it actually only towards a 1-page application form that could be generated for free on the official government website. No direct customer phone number listed on the website and hasn't received any calls from the company since concern was brought up after the payment. After google copilot search, it shows "Yes, USPassportandVisa.org is a scam that misleads users into paying for services that are free on official U.S. government websites."

This business was the 1st listed when searched for passport renewal. Business also had an official looking emblem. Requested online renewal and was brought to an application where I entered sensitive information, soc sec #, passport#, credit card# etc. once submitted a prefilled ds 82 was generated and instructions to mail along with an additional payment to the state. I knew then I was scammed. I called my bank to report and they advised me to cancel cc since it was an unsecured site. I was also told to call passport and advise, get ip pin from the IRS and to put a freeze on all three credit bureaus. I also filed a complaint with ftc

I applied for a US passport on what I thought was a government website. I gave them all of my personal information including my SS#. I realized afterwards it was not legitimate

- Chicago, IL, USA • Jan 29, 2026

I applied for my passport on the Illinois passport site and I had to pay $125 but when I got to my local post office to finish the process the federal employee told me the site is a scam and it has nothing to do with the United States post office or passport payments.

- Charlotte, NC, USA • Jan 18, 2026

PassportSubmission.US makes their website look convincing that it is a third party that works with the government. In the fine details they do make it clear they do not work or affiliate themselves with any government agency but that is not initially obvious. They provide services that produce a PDF for the passport application documents with the info you provide them (which you can easily do yourself). The scam is the way they charge you. At billing, their charges make you think that you are paying for your new Passport Book but it is just for their services. They charge you $130 for "Passport Renewal" but that isn't for the book it is for their services and then they also have a line called "Transaction Fee". After paying them, they do provide a PDF with additional instructions to finish your mail in application with the government. But because the initial $130 you paid them was for their services, you have to then write another $130 check to the US government for your actual Passport Book.

I wanted to apply for my passport and I stupidly chose this website. They took my SSN and personal information. I’ve locked my credit. I tried to call the number on their website and they aren’t answering.

My wife was attempting to apply for a US passport for our daughter, and this was the first website that comes up on Google Search. She entered our daughter's SSN, Name, home address, and birth date. The payment has been taken from her bank account, and bank was called to report it.

Was looking to get my passport and the website www.epassport.us came up and it appeared to be a legit site. Entered all required information including social, address, phone number, etc.

- Cornelius, NC, USA • Jul 23, 2025

This website acted as a government website providing forms for a fee that are otherwise free.

- Joliet, IL, USA

The website is advertised as the way to apply for a passport online. They charge a $95 fee per application, which I understood to be the passport application fee. Instead, this was just to use the online application form. A form that can be accessed for free on the government website. It was the first website to appear on Google. Also, with the ".org", it appeared to be the official passport website.

- Maumelle, AR, USA

It was supposed to be an easy way to fill out your papers for a passport and pay for everything except the person and makes the passport. They got all our personal information like social, address and bank information. We were told that is was a scam by the lady at the library when we went to do everything else for the passport.

- Hot Springs Village, AR, USA

It’sa rush my passport site that does not actually do anything but provide the free form that you can get on the government site.

- Medford, MA, USA

Attempting to download a passport form and somehow ended up on "myusatraveldocs.org" I was charged $128.90 under the misleading assumption that I was paying my passport fees to the U.S. Department of State with a credit card. I was misled into divulging my personal information to a private business portraying itself as a legitimate government agency through deceptive large print letterhead stating: "U.S TRAVEL ONLINE APPLICATION" alongside a photo or the U.S. Capital Rotunda. There is a legal disclaimer on the page stating that they are a private business, not an official government organization nor affiliated with any US Government agencies. This was pointed out by the US Post Office, letting me know that I had been scammed.

- Searcy, AR, USA

This website poses as the official way to apply for a passport. It does not tell you that you are paying only for a form filler service. The heading on the webpage simply says US Passport Application. There is a small print at the bottom, hidden, that says it is third party, but does not advertise the fee or what it is for. It leads you to believe that you are paying for the expedited service for a passport on the payment page. It says it will email you the packet of information and it does not. It does not provide a receipt for payment, there is nothing in any of the information that allows you to know that you are not paying for passport services. It takes personal information and does not disclose what it is doing with that information. It is fraudulent and the website should be taken down off the internet.

- Oklahoma City, OK, USA

I believed I was on a .gov website submitting a passport renewal application. They asked for my parents names, and date of birth which I found odd. All this website does is charge you $68 dollars to fill out your passport application that you have to then send in. Once I realized this it was too late, I had submitted all my information to them. Nowhere on a passport application does it ask about your parents information. Great info for identity theft unfortunately. I did cancel my credit card and sign up for an identity theft monitoring service thanks to this.

When I called the number and asked for my money back, they said 25% off? 50% off? Okay we will give you a full refund in 5-7 days. The pending charge has since been removed from my credit card.

I had a very bad feeling when I realized this was a middle man situation and they had all my information.

- Harmony, PA, USA

The website looks like the us site and has you fill out your passport information electronically and then charges you an astronomical fee for the passport. Then they tell you it's for filling out the form and not for the actual passport.
