Good Morning,

My name is *** and I was contacted by someone posing as a member of your company with the email address [email protected]

I was told that they were impressed with my background, and asked me to download Google Hangouts as that is how I would receive more information on the position. I thought it was odd, but since this is the digital age I thought ok lets give it a try.

I was asked a series of questions by their hiring manager Amanda Russell ([email protected]) and at the end of the questions she said that I was hired, which again suspicious. It left me with an uneasy feeling, that I was "hired" without any other information for them.

I was asked to be on Hangouts again yesterday and my "training manager" ([email protected]) would give me more info.

I did as I was asked and I was on, he said that the company would be mailing me a check to cover the expenses for my equipment, again this didn't sit well with me so I went back to Amanda and asked her some questions, I asked her about where the company is based as that wasn't clear to me and what is it that I will be doing as I wasn't 100% sure. She only answered that the company was located in New York but that they were opening a new office near me in the next month. So I asked where would they set this office up? (I live in Southern California) She informed me that it would be set up in my city, which is no where near the regular city hubs like Downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena, Glendale...etc. I also asked where they received my resume from as I don't have any record of applying for Parachute Health. She told me Indeed....which is where I have my resume on as I am unemployed at the moment. All of that lead me to believe this is a scam.

This morning I was asked to be on Hangouts again and I given a tracking number by Henry to track my check. I received the check on more then 10 mins ago from an electrical contacting company (Rosendin Electric INC Contractors 880 North Mabury Rd San Jose, CA 95133) Which I looked up on Google Maps and their website and is a ligament company.

I received a text message saying to download the Google Hangout Application for an interview. I completed the interview, and they used the name Becky Haft, who is actually an employee with Parachute Health, but they were just using her name. I was then transferred to talk to an Alex Hatzis to discuss the job and pay. They told me they were sending a check via fedex for me to use to buy my equipment. I noticed it was a scam so I told the scammers I would just cash the check then deposit the funds. Which I did not do because I noticed the scam. I confronted the scammers and informed them that I knew what they were doing. They sent a check to me in the amount of $3,989.00 from a company named SA Recycling in Orange,CA.
