This was, unfortunately, a successful scam. Steve Lustri presented himself as a professional automotive electrician both on his Yelp and Craig's List listings. He indicated he was licensed thru the State of Washington. We live in Oregon. He indicated he could rewire my 1957 Chevy top to bottom at a reasonable initial price. Long story short, and after many twists and turns, and him demanding more money, and offering a "contract" of a set dollar amount, I paid him an additional $3,000 to get the project done. I have now paid him a total $11,213. I also paid him for parts and speakers that I never received. This project, which should have taken a month, started in September 2022. As of this date, March 16, 2023, he has not been out to finish the job, wants more money, will not refund the additional money and parts paid for of $3,486.00. I have had to go have my car finished at another automotive electrical shop and they finished the job in one week for much less than what Steve w[censored]ding me hostage for. He has scammed many people in the same way as evidenced on his Yelp page. He said he closed his business and is moving to Bend, Oregon. He likes to use abusive and threatening statements one minute and then behaves like we are best friends. The gaslighting and never knowing what direction this project was going has created significant financial and emotional losses. We just want to make sure that he doesn't have the opportunity to scam other unsuspecting Oregonians going forward.
