I signed up for a trial period with Filterly, an app that allows you to adjust your selfies. Filterly charged me $1.53 on Sept. 7 2025. Then proceeded to charge me $30.99 x 8 times over the course of the next two months. I luckily cancelled it in time but they did not refund me the mischarges. I emailed them after the fact and they said because it wasn't within two months, they couldn't reverse the charges. Also, they tried to tell me that it was a valid weekly subscription charge. The thing is Filterly doesn't offer weekly subscriptions, a year subscription costs $30.99. So that means they were trying to charge me a yearly subscription 8 times which cost me $247.52. After emailing them over and over, they offered a $15.50 refund (half of one fee) but refused to amend the mistaken charges. It was frustrating they were trying to make up reasons for the charge when their pricing and subscription is clearly listed on their site. Filterly is a HUGE scam. Do not give them your credit card information!
