I googled passport renewal and the first service that popped up was passport and visa.org

I did not notice that it was a sponsored service and not the dept of state

I entered my information including passport number and bank card information and submitted it. I was charged 139 and today received notification that I was being charged and additional 149. I was surprised since that was not made clear.

Subsequently I did what I should have done first and researched it. Unfortunately the bbb reports that it is a scam operation.

Online passport assistance but made me pay prior to receiving paperwork

This site presents it self as the Government site that processes Passports. I hides that it is just a place that prints out your Passport Application. It collects sensitive information and I will be contacting Social Security about this and see if I can have my information on a watch list incase this company is selling the data they collect. I have called the company and demanded a refund and I have put a hold on the credit card payment and reported the company as a potential fraud site.

The company MyPassportHub and USAPremiumTrips are both the same private company under different names trying to scam people of their money for a PDF file (DS-82) that can be obtained for free online at the government website travel.state.gov. They charge you $89.95 for a service that they don't even provide, making you believe they will help you send the proper documentations to the Department of State and they use AI generated assisted phone calls that make it nearly impossible to get help.

The website presents itself as a legitimate passport renewal site. The button says "submit application" and has you pay $88 however this is the fee for them to simply email you a copy of the renewal application filled with all your information. Then you still have to pay the actual application fee to the government. Now they have all my person information.

US Passport Renewal Application Online

Form replicated the US government form

They offered insurance, in case the passport got lost in the mail. They got sensitive personal information from my application. Please find this company and shut them down.

Searched for online passport renewal. Found this site that was only charging $85 instead of $130. Filled out all of the forms, paid online, and was sent printable application with a shipping label to send in all my documents and application to: National Passport Processing Center PO Box 90155 Philadelphia, PA 19190-0155. Called the 321-221-5210, and after waiting on the line, automated message said that are no agents available to help me, and to leave my name and phone number.

So I needed a Renewal of a Passport and when I did an engine search on Google this is the first site that comes up.

I assumed it was a reputable site/business with the words "government" name in the

original name but it is not. They have no real address and they are actually out of the United Kingdom I got one of the people to share with me.

Now they never call you back the same day but usually call you during the day between 9-4 .

They are NOT a government

website.

And it's as Valid as me getting my own Passport.

I'm not even sure they do Passports.

I was told by 1 gentleman that I would get my money back but when the 3rd or 4th different person called me back they vehemently refused.

In reading now about websites , I have learned a lot about getting myself into people who probably don't do what they say. As a matter of fact I'm not sure what they actually do for 190.00 but I don't think it's getting your Passport back.

I was able to go over to the Post office , legally , and do it with a human postal service worker.

When I asked them how they would get my Passport they couldn't provide me with any information on how that would actually happen.
