The person that called me had the last four of my social. Made me confirm info before providing me info. Then proceeded to tell me about a debt that was from 2005. I mentioned to him that it's over 12 years ago and they cannot collect on this... he became agressive and started saying "Don't you pay your bills?!" I said not to call here again. When I called back to confirm who it was I was speaking with the caller did not announce the company just her name (I think it was Miranda? Melissa? something...).... Then I asked about the name of the business she said NRA or NR Associates. She gave me NRA.com... which comes up as the National Rifle Association. I advised I was trying to get info so I could file a complaint. She said they are on the BBB with an A+ rating and hung up on me...Very strange that they didn't want to substantiate their business before hanging up on me....

I received a call from the above number 2 days in a row. They did not leave a message. I called back and the woman answering identified the company as NR Associates. She then looked up my number and asked if I was the correct person (she used a previous last name). I said I was she, but that had not been my last name for many years. She then corrected herself stating my actual last name. I asked what this was regarding and she said a document. I asked what document to which she replied that she first needed to make sure I was the correct person. She gave me the last 4 of my SSN# and asked if it was mine. I did not reply to this but rather insisted that she tell me what this was regarding. She said she could verify by address and proceeded to give my ex-mother in-laws address. I laughed and said I had never lived at that address. She then changed to a nasty tone and said "See, that's why I wouldn't tell you what this is about because this is the wrong number" and hung up on me. I called the BBB, only to find out that this was indeed a scam.
