Norton Lifelock Imposter/Spoof Reports & Reviews (60)

I received an email from Norton lifelock saying thanks for my purchase and that an amount of $399 will be deducted in 24 hours. So I called the number listed

1-866-211-9065 and gave the invoice number that was provided. I talked to “person one” and explained I had no idea what this was or what I had so called purchased and they asked about a computer. I said I don’t even have a computer then the call immediately ended. I called right back and got “person two”. I explained the same thing and they also asked about a computer. Again I said I don’t have a computer and they told me they were going to hang up on me because they were busy and didn’t have time to talk to me. He was very nasty and had an attitude for no reason!

May 11, 2022 I received email addressed to "customer@ geeksquad.com. It informed me that a payment of $587.65 had been processed Successly. I did not request any such thing. That is too much money. This the second type of email I have received. They even gave me an invoice #68716874168. Please check and be careful with such scams.

Told me that my checking acct will be charged 483.99~I called and the guy name is David Hay~So he says he accidently put 1900$ by mistake and i had to pay him back in target gifts cards ~So i did~Come to find out my daughter had that amount in her checking and he was able to transfer that $$ to my account as if it was a mistake. When my daughter lost 1900$ to get her car fix. This is for company Norton life lock

I received an invoice claiming my 'successful purchase" of Norton Life Lock Renewal. The invoice looks legitimate and at the bottom of invoice is a number to call to "unsubscribe" but instead you get a random lady who tries to get you to a website that will attempt to get you put in your bank details. I didn't do that, cause I recognized it was a scam. The lady that answered, answered with a "hello" instead of a company name. Beware!

I am getting this kind of Subscription payement notice by email. I called them, some one answered with an Indian accent. What shall I do if it shows in my my account?

I first got an email and then a phone call saying I was due a $350 refund. While speaking on the phone "Evan Arbotgast" said my subscription had been removed. In order to get a refund I had to first call him before going to Walmart and buying a $500 gift card. I never applied for any such service and provided them no information. I called ScamPulse.com instead.

I have been getting a bill from this company for 3 months, first bill was for $414, 2nd bill for $245 & finally for $345 today. They send a invoice with no address or postal code but a phone number stating "if you want to cancel or upgrade call this number 818/920-8851 and this may not be the correct number. They are saying I ordered this service but I already have security from my internet provider and they have been notified but all they said was "send it to spam" but they keep coming every other day. I am frustrated that they have my credit card info. Please tell me what to do.

I received an E-mail from " Norton Life Lock" saying that a renewal charge of $ 349.99 was going to be debited to my account. If I wanted to cancel the charges I would need to call the above numbers. I called and after a long process of them supposedly downloading a free software , me filling out a form on line, getting on my account so they could credit me (from their Chase to my Chase),the scammer said I entered $4,000.00 instead of $400.00 as an amount to be credited. He said the amount was to large and there was no way for it to be edited and their account would be locked in 24 hrs. if I didn't get 7 gift cards in the amount of $500.00 each. The alarming thing is the $4,000.00 actually appeared on my account while I was on the phone with him. He also told me that when I asked for the cards to say that it was personal not for a business or the store would charge an additional fee and that I was not to talk to him while I was in the store. ( He kept me on the phone the whole time.) When I got to the store more red flags went up and I hung up on him and didn't buy the cards. He called me back and asked what happened. I told him I was going to call my bank in the morning and hung up on him. When I got home I checked my on line account and lo and behold the $4,000.00 credit was gone!! I sent called the legit Norton and also forwarded the e-mail to them.

I got an email claiming I owe Norton about $400.00 and they are going to take it out of my account. I do have service with Norton but I do not owe this. The phone number in the email isn't the phone number for Norton either.

Simply stated we received an email that said our account has been charged $359.99 for Norton Security and if we want to cancel to call the number. We got connected to an India sounded person and claimed that it will not be a problem to refund the amount. He guided me through steps to do that but I was not getting the information needed to proceed to he asked if he could access my computer. Of course I'm not suspicious at this point so I allowed him in. As we proceeded he asked that we write the amount down, gave us his name and phone number stating that he was the financial supervisor. Another pop up appeared (to do the wire transfer) and he asked me to fill in the amount. I typed 30000 and tried to go back to put in the decimal but it generated the transfer. He was so angry and blamed me for the biggest mistake ever and it was going to cost him his job. He also had me open up my bank account to see if the amount had transfered to my account, and sure enough it appeared as a transfer. AT the point we wanted us to transfer back the money less the $359.99. At that point we knew it was a scam. We hung up and closed the computer. Went back in to check our account and of course the amount was gone.

This scammer is using Quickbook's Intuit system to send fake invoices on behalf of Norton so that you call the number listed.

It has the same logo for Norton.

I called the number and it was busy. Probably a lot of people are calling in. If you dig deeper it has an email address to address this to "[email protected]" and a phone number from India "+91 8965625265".

I received an email purporting to confirm a $299 order for Norton LifeLock renewal that would be billed to my credit card. I have no Norton LifeLock account. The email provided a phone number to call (850 203 4986) if you think the notification is in error. The number shows up on my recent calls list as being in Florida. I believe getting folks to call this number an engage with the phishers on the other end of the line is the main intent of the scam.

I received an email on 12/16/21 from Norton Life Lock stating I had ordered a Norton 360 Premium for $449.00 that I never did. On 12/17/21, I called the customer service number 1-805-931-6952 and first spoke to a Marc Wilson and next to an Alan Jones as I suspect both were fake names as they were filipino people with heavy accents. They informed me that I would have to fill out a cancellation request and I told them that I would not and both times the lines went dead. I tried to email the sender ([email protected]) and were notified the address was disabled.

email sent ostensibly from Norton Lifelock stating amount of $499.99 had been subtracted from my checking account by automatic electronic transmittal and if this information incorrect to call above phone# (assumed it was incorrect inasmuch as i pay direct by check).

called and went through protracted efforts on scammer to set up my computer to send them information on my response, and after approx 40 minutes of trying, they asked for my debit card # which i stupidly gave them + exp date/security code, then they once again started attempt for computer contact in the midst of which they asked me to purchase gift cards to cover expense of time spent with me whereupon i belatedly realized this was a scam and hung up.

next day had phone call from my debit card company saying debit card had been restricted and to call given phone# - was told ofcharges against debit card 2 of which were ok but 3 not mine = told i wouldn't be charged for the 3 and new card would arrive 5-7 business days.

This site is using Norton life lock the email address is [email protected] I have copies of different emails address to collect 399.00 dollars for something I didn’t trying to gain access to my credit card bank accounts ,They won’t stop
