Complete Scam

If they call you, ask them how the weather is in Southern California. Or if you want to get under their skin, waste as much of their time as you can, and when they ask you to verify a billing address, give them their own real address.

Lastly, they’ll claim to be from near you. Ask them something only a local would know, like the most popular restaurant in town, or what major highway runs closest to town. Watch them stumble and stress. Might as well have fun with them and waste their time.

Total Scam!

Called my cell and informed we that a "complaint" had been filed against me and I had 24 hours to resolve it. I'm an attorney and asked for basic information, like bar association number, physical address etc. They refused to supply this information. Total scam.

Called from an unknown number

When I phoned Norton & Associates after receipt of voicemail I was in process of litigation. They said that I needed to act before litigation and a lien on my property was made. They claimed to have purchased a 13 yr old debt that was charged off from 2009! Told me I owed $8,800 from an original debt of $3k but if I agreed to a settlement they would drop it 50%. Now they want $4,400 and sent me a DocuSign asking me to add my CC number to. I think NOT. Oh and I only have 24 hrs before they send a process server to my home…

I was contacted by Norton associates saying I owed money to a credit card company and if I didn’t pay $1700. I could have by assets frozen along with my bank accounts and they would do the same if I had a spouse

Also at first he said his name was Josh Baker and when I told him I had to make sure this wasn’t a scam he said he’s name was Scott

I’m pretty sure this is a scam

Josh / Scott called me the other day. Same routine. I told him I’d call back, and I did some research. Called back and when it was time to give them my billing address, I gave him THEIRS, and he lost it on me. I laughed, told him to send whomever to my house, and that I’d be ready for them, and hung up.
