Same experience as above. Have been applying on indeed received an email from Robert Shaw, was asked to add Sophie Rogers as a Zoom contact for an interview. Interview was via chat on Zoom. At the end I was offered a position as Customer Sales Representative, will be emailed an offer letter, W4, I9.

The Zoom interview was actually just messaging back and forth with me basically saying okay to every single message. It seemed extremely legitimate.

Please be aware. They are a scam!

Same experience as above. Have been applying on LinkedIn, received a text from Jamie Kyle (760-666-4073), was asked to add Pamela Ernlund as a Zoom contact for an interview. Interview was via chat. At the end I was offered a position as Data Entry Representative, will be emailed an offer letter, W4, I9.

I was a little skeptical but the interview questions were legitimate. What really tipped me off was tipped he email url @northvolt-usa.com - there is no northvolt-usa.com site.

I've blocked everything I can think to block and changed passwords on things.

I do think this is probably an identity and/or check scam. You provide an I9 with all your info including ss# and you usually provide a picture ID or something like a birth certificate.

Additionally they promise to send you a check so you can set up your home office. You deposit the check, it clears, you purchase what they want you to purchase and then all the sudden your bank account is in the negative because they can "prove" they are you and they cleaned it out.

Recently I was emailed from a person claiming to be a talent recruiter from northvolt claiming they had found my resume online and wanted to interview me for a position. The email seemed legit and I was instructed to contact the hiring manager via zoom for an immediate interview. This was on a Saturday and for some reason it didn't seem odd to me to have an interview on this day. The Zoom interview was actually just messaging back and forth with me basically saying okay to every single message. Not once was I asked about skills or experience the more I thought about it I started to feel put off when I began wondering why I would receive a job offer for that amount of pay without any background check or any other type of pre employment stuff such as an application. Well I went back through the emails and discovered that the initial email had come from a gmail account with an official looking northvolt logo. I also assume and am almost certain that they took the actual hiring managers picture off linked in and used it as part of their scam. Just so odd to hold a interview through zoom only to message, they are obvioulsy posing as something they are not. Stay away from this it is too good to be true.

WHAT REALLY PUT ME OFF WAS THE DOWNLOADING OF ZOOM ONLY TO HAVE A INTERVIEWETHROUGH A MESSENGER. THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY USING A REAL PERSONS PICTURE AND HIDING THEIR TRUE IDENTITIES.

Type of a scam Employment

I received a text from Kathy Glynn at phone number: 219.206.1675 stating that she found my resume on Indeed.com and she is reaching out regarding a Data Entry position at Northvolt. I have been applying for data entry jobs online and have several legitimate interviews that just didn't work out. She prompted me to download Telegram and speak with the hiring manager Ian Painter. After doing some research about the company, I decide to speak with them. NOTE: Ian Painter works for Northvolt as their hiring manager, but this is not the same person. I went through a thorough interview process. I was hired and sent a welcome packet from [email protected] that included: Code of Conduct, Form I-9, Form W-4, and a detailed offer letter. The documents included trademark images, company officer signatures, official looking stuff. I returned my completed forms and pictures of my Social and Driver's license. I was instructed to contact Ian Painter each morning at 8:00 a.m. to receive my daily tasks and duties. I have been doing random tasks each day. They are sending me a check to cover equipment costs. The one mistake they made was stating that their US support office is located at the CT Corporation building location in Delaware. If I hadn't been aware that this building is a registered agent only, I might not have caught on. Please be diligent. This is a very thorough scam.

I figured it was a scam when the hiring manager told me they would send out a check for me to buy the computer and software to cash and purchase the products through their confirmed vendor. She said that only the employees could get the discount so they would pay for the tools but I had to have a valid bank account to cash the check.
