I found North West Light Scape on Thumbtack and after reading their reviews and seeing their social media presence, requested and received a quote within a day to do Christmas lights on my roof. I was in contact with David/Daniel from the beginning of the project on 11/9/24 through 11/16/24 where he pushed out coming out to do the job 5 days in a row. He then passed me onto his partner, Arthur. Arthur came out and did a good amount of the work, but didn't put the right multi colored lights on the top portion of the roof and hoped we'd be okay with the random blue strand he had with him leftover from another job. He said he needed the payment that day in the form of cash and would come out the next day to finish the project so I paid him cash. He said he'd send me a paid receipt on Thumbtack which didn't happen. He pushed out coming back for 3 days with a multitude of reasons and then finally came back and changed out the bulbs to the correct color and then left while I was at work. He didn't plug in the strand to see if it worked. I got home and plugged it in and it didn't work. I then let him know that and he said he must have forgotten to plug in the top to the middle section of the roof and would back the next day. He also had thrown all of the incorrect bulbs across my yard and on the street (two shattered) and left them there which I had to clean up. He never came back. The last time I heard from Arthur was on Thursday 11/21/24. I called and texted him 4 days in a row, but he didn’t get back to me. I then messaged David/Daniel on 11/23/24 at who told me to reach out to Arthur. David/Daniel also never responded to another phone call or text message after that and they deleted their Thumbtack Pro account. My next door neighbor has been dealing with the exact same problems with these guys and I'm assuming other people are too as their rating on Thumbtack went from 5 stars down to 2 stars before they deactivated it. I hired a new contractor who completed the job, had to fix a lot of their work as they had used the wrong voltage pieces to connect each section of the house. Thumbtack reimbursed me what the new contractor's invoice was. I want to make sure no one else deals with these guys.
