I received a text message from what I thought was a friend of mine that I served with in the Air Force. We had talked several times in the past couple of years so I did think much about it. He told me about this new life change foundation and how it had help him get this grant money and that it was all legitimate. He directed me to the web site. He would ask me everyday if I had made contact with them and if I had heard anything from them. I finally got a email from new life change foundation support showing me a winning list and the fee I would have to pay. I selected one of the packages and ask how I went about making payment on the fee. What they sent me next started sending up red flags that something was not right. They wanted me to send the fee by cash through UPS to a address only in Connecticut. I ask if I should include the name new life change foundation in the address and I was told no. I looked up the address on Google maps and saw that the address was a duplex. That was another red flag. I then ask why my money was being sent to a house and not a business. first time I did not get a answer to that question so I ask again this time I was told to listen and listen good and to follow the instructions given earlier on how to send my money so that I could receive my payment, another red flag. I then reached out to my friend who was supposedly sending me the text message in the first place and ask him if he sent me those message. That is when I found out that this was all a scam because he knew nothing about it.
