when I tried to connect my netgear extender to my router, I had issues and so I followed instructions on their installation packet how to connect it. The web address it gave me, took me to viaa scam web address which looked just like Netgear official one , which I did not know at that time. Online chat was available and I gave them my name and phone number and they said technician will call me. He surely did in few sec from number 1833 363 8349 and then I gave him permission to access my computer so he can connect my router to my netgear extender. He told me I have 45 other unknown hosts on my router and that I first need to get rid of them in order to connect my device. And that it will cost either 100, 200 or 400 dollars based on what warranty I choose. I declined and told him I call him another day after I check his claims. He gave me a case number and this phone number to call: 1 800 834 0944 ext 105.
