I agree with J D who says the initial call is probably a bot or recording, sounds exactly the same every time. BBB does not accredit this otrganization, and gives a list of warnings for anyone receiving calls from them or similar organazations, especially if they are a PAC. That makes them a political org. Even if tax-exempt, your donation may not be tax-deductible. This one's a total scam that's been bombarding seniors in Florida for years, and I wish someone would arrest them for fraud.

Have received regular calls from this organization for the past several months. Suspect I am talking to a computer for the initial discussion as the caller has the same accent and same cadence each time. Requests to be added to their "do not call" list result in immediate disconnection of the call. I did find a website for them (firefighterpac.org) and it offers very little information about who they are, but does provide an option to enter your phone number for addition to the "do not call" list. Not confident that this will work but have taken a screenshot of the request and their acknowledgment of same; will escalate if they continue to call.

Solicitation by phone call for organization purporting to help volunteer firefighters. When I researched the info I received in the mail, I found an organization with EIN 84-3763411, operated by Matthew Greenlee. The organization's IRS filings indicate nearly all funds were spent on marketing and solicitation, not on donations to groups working with firefighters.
