They make fraudulent claims that they buy from reputable and ethical breeders. THE TRUTH IS THAT REPUTABLE AND ETHICAL BREEDERS WOULD NEVER SELL PUPPIES TO A PET STORE!

Brian Mohrfield, Select Puppies AKA Lucky Puppies Co. West Point, Iowa- 441 puppies. Mohrfield also owns Choice Puppies (another broker) out of Goodman, Missouri.
Curt Conrad and Lori Conrad, Conrad’s Cuddly Canine’s. Frankford, Missouri- Large puppy broker.
Golden Seal Canines. Sugarcreek, Ohio- Large puppy broker in Ohio.
Jolyn Noethe, JAKS Puppies, Britt Iowa – 254 puppies . JAKS is a dog broker that buys puppies from puppy mills and then resells them to pet stores. JAKS has also started their own “rescue” in order to lie to the public about not being a puppy mill. You can read that information here. Michael Kauffman Jr, Conodoguinet Creek Kennel. Newburg, Pennsylvania- 53 puppies.
Monica Sheeley, South Paw Pets AKA Premium Paws . Neosho, Missouri- Massive puppy broker in Missouri that had 140 puppies at their facility. Has changed their USDA license number several times.
Preferred Canines. Fresno, Ohio- Large puppy broker in Ohio.
Stephanie Foschini, Lakeshore Pets AKA Charlotte Dog Club. Cleveland, North Carolina- puppy broker with 97 puppies on site.
Tony Schindler, QD Kennels. Frankford, Missouri- massive puppy broker with 68 puppies on their property at the time of last inspection.

Type of a scam Online Purchase

I went into the business site and was hit with a strong smell of urine. I asked to play with one of the puppies and liked her. I asked for the price and she was $12,000. I went home thinking that was an obscene amount of money, so I contacted a breeder that breeds top quality dogs of the same breed, health tested, bred for temperament and show. They were $2,500. I called the business back to ask for the breeder and they would not tell me unless I made an appointment to see a puppy. So I did, and that puppy was gone but I asked to look at another just to see who the breeder was. I got a name and looked him up, and he is a known puppy mill owner. This business started on its website that it is anti puppy mill, but looks much like one on the inside with several puppies sharing one space, not to mention selling puppies for thousands more than they’re worth. They should be shut down.
