I was looking for a single piece of public domain sheet music and found it on Musescore. When I tried to print it it required that I create an account and offered a free trial.

At 10:01 I went through the process and at some point the product changed from the free trial to a pro subscription without my knowledge.

I attempted to download the sheet music and now it was asking for me to pay for the individual piece of music so I realized it was not included in whatever subscription they changed me to.

At 10:07 I canceled my subscription and requested a refund, having used nothing from the platform in the 6 minutes I was subscribed.

Their pre-written response to my request was that their Terms & Conditions (https://musescore.com/legal/terms) don't allow full refunds, only offering me a prorated refund (prorated to 1 month minimum), or offering discounts on more scam products.

Musescore is a complete scam. I signed up for a 7 day free trial so I could download 1 song. Next thing I know, they have not only charged me for the song (which is fine) but also 2 subscriptions. I didn’t authorize any of this! I’m so frustrated and disappointed. I have contacted their crappy customer service and every time I attempt to accept a refund there is an error. There is no way to call or message them, it’s all over the internet how scammy this company is!

I was trying to purchase a piece of sheet music; I somehow bought a year membership, I'm still certain how I picked that. Immediately after this happened, I realized it. I found the email address for MuseScore support and contacted them within 10 minutes, asking to revoke the membership, it was a mistake. The reply was a reduced membership but that's all they would offer. I mentioned it was a mistake, all I wanted was a piece of sheet music, not a membership. In spite of the fact I reached out within 10 minutes, they would not refund my membership fee. I'm very disappointed.

I tried signing up for a free trial. They charged me immediately upon finishing sign-up, even though they said they would charge after 7 days, but the trial could be cancelled anytime before then and no payment would be taken. When I saw that they charged me $40 the next day, I requested a cancellation of services and a refund. They offered 6months of extra service or a 25% refund. I refused and they replied saying they had refunded me $30, the most they could, and haven't replied to a single email since (this was yesterday). I checked today and these scam artists actually charged me another $30!! They refunded nothing and took more money!

The Musescore website out of Cyprus, states that it offers a free trial. It does not! The free trial requires a payment method, yet the company immediately charged my pay pal account 39.99. This being said, the website did not deliver the product they were promoting on the free trial, which would have been a download music score. The final score available was had no more detail than the "preview" page showed as a free trial enticement. Upon notifying the company via email that I did not want a membership and that was not my intention, they stated that, yes I had agreed. This is a bait and switch situation, false advertisement and a definite scam. In their response, they offered me another free year of membership - no refund- after stating I wanted no membership at all.

I followed links to a free trial account on musescore.com that required a credit card. When I finished the process the website thanked me for my $59 purchase. I lost a total of $9.00. When I requested a refund, they offered me discount options. When I refused, they offered prorated refund if $50. I tried contacting support at [email protected].

This website charged me $70 after a 7-day-free trial period, a charge that was not made clear to me before putting in my credit card info to buy and download single piece of sheet music. When I asked for a refund, I received a scripted email giving me two options: either keep my membership and receive no refund, or agree to a 35% refund. I have also read other stories where people’s cards were charged even after they cancelled their membership. There is absolutely no phone number given to contact this company directly, which is an automatic red flag that I wish I’d noticed earlier.
