I received a check and deposited it. I bought 3 visa gift cards as instructed and sent back the info. The check was accepted but the 3 $500 gift cards have a 0 balance.

Secret shopping scam sends phony check for $2900. Instructions are to use $2500 to buy eBay gift cards and keep $400 for efforts. Once purchased, send gift card numbers to them and wait for further instructions. They rush you to do it ASAP because the check is bogus and will not clear.
