The victim, Craig, is a resident in an assisted living. He received a phone call from someone stating they represented Medicare and he qualifies for a free back brace and knee brace. He unknowingly said ok. He received a box with a TLSO back brace and other items that are not appropriate for him and wouldn't fit him if they were appropriate. They also are not ordered by a physician or recommended by a physician. There was no contact information included other than the address it was shipped from so we did return the box of supplies to that address in Georgia. Today, his brother brought letters from his insurance stating the charges were denied so he would now be responsible for the $4800 bill. He is followed by the VA so if he did need any special equipment it would be provided through the VA, not his private insurance. Private insurance will not cover if there is no physician documentation attached so this company is putting people on the hook for things they don't need. If Craig did not have us advocating for him, he would have this box of supplies sitting in a closet that he can't use and would be getting a bill for $4800 for.

I have a wound place on my lower right leg and the wound care DR. ordered a leg pants for me to use that would up inflate ( simular to what a hospital has you where sometime after a procedure). This company called me on my cell phone using 2 different phone #'s @ 2 different state names and said I wouldn't be charged for anything and that my MEICARE @ MEDICAID insurance was paying for them. The package included 2 leg braces , 2 knee socks @ 1 back brace. I told them both times they called to 1st tell me I was getting them and would not get a bill for them and the 2nd time to confirm my address that I needn't them , but the insisted I did . I called the guy that works with the wound care office and is placing an order for what the DR. wanted me to use @ he said that he couldn't find anything out about this company or the 2 phone # 's that they used.

My elderly father receives a phone call or two a day from this number asking if he wants a back brace or ankle brace. When I have asked their phone number or any more information they hang up.
