- Southfield, MI, USA

I was contacted from a religious associate that he received a hundred thousand dollar grant that was delivered to his home and he had to pay 1,200.00 to have it processed and sent to him by FedEx and that I could apply for the grant and get free grant money if my application was approved. I contacted Agent Julianna Smith by way of Facebook messenger and she asked me questions to see if I qualified for the grant program.

After I qualified for the grant she told me to select an amount I wanted and that I had to pay 750.00 for a 50,000.00 dollar grant. She told me that this was a federal grant program and the 750.00 was to be paid in gift cards from American Express at any CVS or Walgreens. I send Agent Mary Smith the gift card photos and she told me I would receive the money by FedEx the next day. The next day she said the IRS had seized the money as the FedEx driver was delivering it to my address and I needed to pay the IRS 3,000.00 for taxes on the money before it could be delivered to me. I asked her to give me the name and number of the contact person at the IRS and she said the insurance company doesn’t allow her to do so. And I have to send 3,000.00 to have the money released and the package would be sent to me.

I don’t have any money to send them and I want to alert others who maybe about to be victims to this scam
