I purchased and applied for a magic jack (mj) connection, and requested that my landline phone be ported; this has not happened yet, but next day (5/6/16) after registration, I rec'd an email from mj stating that I would not be able to use my landline for 5 to 10 days; when I called mj, they claimed that they had NOT sent me that email and further said that my PC been hacked, during the mj download; mj rep then switched me over to a tech (Country-Wide Tech) who showed me the "back door" of my pc so I could see the hacking; URL endings indicated many "listening"; so this tech then said he could fix it for $280.00; said I could mail a ck to the Hicksville NY location; in my opinion, Magic Jack and this Country-Wide Tech outfit are in cahoots; it seems too coincidental that I was "hacked" at the same time that mj was downloading the program, then switched me over to a tech who could "help" me resolve the issue, charging me $280.00 to clean my PC
