Fake Siamese Kittens
After a lengthy email and text message exchange, the scammer, Adam Trevor, said if I wanted to pay tonight, I could have the kitten by tomorrow. That massive red flag led me to search for the phone number. I found another post related to the same phone number, slightly different website, city, and name, Daniel Liam.
When I asked to do a virtual meet and greet, they said they had a bad experience with this and did not do virtual calls anymore.
When I said my family lives near them and could come to check him out the next day, they said a $400 deposit was required before they would set up a meeting.
Their payment options were Apple Pay, Zelle, CashApp, and Bank Transfer. When I asked about PayPal, they stopped responding.
My kitten died one week ago, and the immense loss I have felt all week pushed me to start looking again. Thankfully, my grief was not so great that I could not see through this scam!
My husband is messaging them right now, and they are scamming him, as well.
