Lorenz Amarino Reports & Reviews (1)

Our nonprofit arts organization received an inquiry from someone identifying themselves as Lorenz Amarino, who was looking to book private art classes twice a week for three daughters. She filled out our intake form and requested over $2,400 worth of private instruction.

What raised red flags was the address she provided—3120 W Chain of Rocks Rd, Granite City, IL—which is a mobile home park, not a private residence. There was no verifiable connection between her or her claimed students and the address or phone number.

After doing some digging, we found that this exact number and email are linked to previous scam reports, including one on this BBB site. The pattern is clear: we believe she was setting us up for an overpayment scam (e.g., “my assistant sent too much money, please return the balance via Venmo or Cash App”).

The message, names, and structure all seem believable at first—normal Gmail address, realistic student names, etc. If we hadn’t double-checked the contact info and address, we might’ve gone through with it.

Warning to others: If you're a business or arts organization offering private services, beware of this scammer. Always verify addresses, phone numbers, and payment sources before booking.
