Type of a scam: Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Fraud. Charged $600 to unlock house door. When I said it was too much he threatened to remove the locks from the door. Then said "do you know what I can do with your venmo?" So they over charge, they are a fraud, they don't respond, they have no dispatcher. And then they threaten you. Sounds about right

Dishonest company

Dispatcher over the phone wouldn’t disclose pricing over the phone as services are a case by case basis. He said a technician in my area is on his way but I waited an hour and a half for his arrival. When he arrived, he said the service call was $150 and to pick my door handle lock, it would be $350. The technician kept inflating pricing as he kept checking things out until he decided he’d break me a deal for $700. I told him his prices were outrageous and well beyond the cost of a brand new door and lock. After I told him to beat it, he brought the price down to what was still overpriced but at that point, was the least expensive (all things considering) option to take. The technician took a mallet to “bump” pins in the lock in place. Took no more than 2 minutes to do… avoid these scammers and others as this turns out to be a very common practice amongst “locksmiths.” They’ll pay google for top page ads as well as reviews but their business practices are illegitimate

Type of a scam: Worthless Problem-solving Service Scam

I called "Locksmith 4 less", but the number that I called was NOT the number that is on their website. It was like my call was redirected to (833) 674 5224. The number on the website is (888) 762 3657. On google the company seems legit with technicians driving proper working vehicles and tools. I spoke initially to a dispatcher (I think?) and then a technician called me. The number of the technician is (323) 796 9058. The technician was taking too long so I called a more local locksmith "Industrial Lock and security" in El Segundo. They were able to send me a technician right away. I called the first technician from Locksmith 4 Less and cancelled the job because he still hadn't shown up. As Industrial Lock and Security started to help me, the 1st technician from Locksmith 4 Less showed up and refused to accept my cancelation even though I cancelled before he showed up. The 1st technician from Locksmith 4 Less DID NOT show up in a working vehicle (he drove a small blue car) and he proceeded to harass me about paying him $200. He did not seem like a legit employee from a trusted company and I think these people are pretending to be Locksmith 4 less so they can charge innocent people 4 times the price and take advantage. DO NOT call Locksmith 4 less in LA!
