I took the phone number off an electric motorcycle for my grandchild. I was wanting to order a new battery for the Monster Moto. After dialing the number I was transferred to an account agent. At the beginning of the phone call they introduce that you can get a $100 coupon off your order. When I was connected to an agent. He immediately let me know it was being recorded and continued to ask me for my name and address, then continued to ask me for my card info and if it was a debit or charge card. I then asked him why he needed this information before I even generated an order for the battery I wanted to order. He told me not to worry he needed my card information to be sure it was going to clear before he put in the order. I then told him that I did not feel comfortable giving him all my information before placing an order. He then came out very stern and told me not to worry that we were being recorded. I wanted to get the motorcycle battery so bad for my grandson, that I was willing to get this transaction completed due to the fact that we had this motorcycle for over 4 years and had not had a chance to use it. So I gave him my card info, account, expiration date and 3 digits on the back. I then gave him my email and birthdate. Immidiately after that the phone hung up. I immediately called my Visa card company and froze my card and canceled the card completely. I then called the number again and told then I was not interested in the promotional coupon and just wanted to order the battery, they transferred me and the phone hung up again. I continued to do this while telling them that I was going to report them to the better business bureau and they said they were listed with the ScamPulse.com and I could do that if I wanted. They continued to say they were not a scam but every time they transferred me the phone discounted. Please find out if this number needs to be taken out of the system. Scams are so terrible and should be a crime that needs to be stopped.
