I received an email stating that my resume was reviewed and asked me to contact them through Microsoft Teams, so I did on 12/12/24. The person asked if I had ever done a message interview through Teams which I hadn't but was willing to. They talked about the job, benefits, pay, etc. They told me that their accountant was going to email a check to me and told me to print it out, mobile deposit it and let them know when I had completed that. I asked to be put in contact with their HR department in order to discuss the onboarding two to three times but each time I was told that I would be assigned a supervisor once I deposited the check. I tried to call the main offices in Greece but the number I have wouldn't go through. I told the person that I wasn't comfortable doing any further Team chats or further information exchange until I heard from their HR. I then contacted ScamPulse.com and was told that it seems to be a scam and that I should report it.
