KleenChimney (www.kleengreen.org) 314-310-0901 is a scam. I ordered a chimney inspections at my rental property. The technician “Adam” came to my property today, Sunday 08-06-2023 approximately 12:20 pm. I needed a chimney inspection for a Brentwood occupancy permit. He arrived looked up the chimney from the inside of the firebox, looked at the chimney stack from the outside and said I needed the flashing repaired, caulked and painted. He never once brought a ladder to get on the roof to inspect the flashing. He quoted a $750. price to clean, seal and paint the flashing and to provide me a Chimney Service Report. I started to pay him the online quote of $99. for the inspection only. He said there was sales tax with a total of $110.00, which was not quoted and Missouri does not require sales tax on services. He asked that I made the check out to “Ion Lock Smith 314-648-9708” not “Kleen Chimney”. Red Flag. I told him to leave and I was not paying a scammer. He stood at the street threatening to call the Brentwood Police. As I walked toward Adam he jumped in his van and sped away, I was not able to photo his license plate. I called the Brentwood Police, I told them the whole store and they agreed that I dodged a bullet. I am requesting these two business be investigated for fraud. He never offered me a business card, the website does not have an address or email address. I am 71 years old, how many other seniors is he scamming?
