Okay, So I received an email about a job offer and I reviewed the details, and it came back semi-clean. I looked up the company and the information they sent me, but I couldn't find details on their employees to verify if the person who sent me the offer worked for them. I applied, they messaged me, and we conducted the interview online. Afterwards they said they'll give me a day so they can see if they want to hire me. They sent me a check the next day for me to cash and had me do it with them, as well as an employee agreement for me to fill out. Everything seemed fine, the check went through and they wanted me to send it to a vendor to buy equipment. There were many issues with how they wanted me to send the money, none of the email's seemed legit, and then they wanted me to convert the money into bitcoin which I couldn't send because of an ID issue. It started getting weirder and nothing I could do was working, and it wasn't really my money. I got concerned and uncomfortable so I messaged them that I will send the money that didn't get lost in the conversion with a cashier's check and to not contact me again as I feel uncomfortable you will get the check in the mail. I asked for an address, they gave it to me, and I blocked them on everything they contacted me through.
