He came for a small job and when he heard we were looking for someone to do some extensive work on her porch and outside staircase/landing he convinced me he was the guy. Said he needed money for material, so she gave him a check. Some material came, nothing was done... he needed money to pay workers because they wanted paid as they worked, gave him another check. They disappeared for days, weeks, months. The 3 day job is now into 9 months and we've hired someone to do the job. The new contractor had to rip up anything he did because it was so poorly done and unsafe. This guy is nothing more than a con/crook. I know others he did the same to. They took him to small claims court, won, but never got a penny. He continues to move on from job to job. His las excuse was his child was ill, I don't believe it for one minute. He should be in jail.
