A man called from Jm legal team. Did not identify himself. Stated he needed my personal information first. When I would not give him the information he got agitated and aggressive. Got very violent over the phone. Stated I was being sued. I would go to jail and my bank accounts would be frozen. He said that I owed thousands of dollars to a payday loan debt collector. Which I knew was not true. WV does not allow payday loans to operate in this state.

Recorded message similar to the original complaint noted. They said nothing specific to me just that I had an account that had been transferred to them and that their most recent attempt to contact me had gone unanswered. The message referred me to the JM Legal Team website or I could press a number to be connected to a live agent in order to resolve the matter and avoid legal action or credit reporting.

I keep receiving calls from multiple different people from multiple different numbers claiming to be from JM Legal Team telling me they are going to sue me if I dont pay immediately for a debt that I dont even recognize from 2007. I have never had a card from the creditor they are saying its with. I am getting 2 to 3 calls daily.

I received a prerecorded call that stated I had a legal (financial?) matter to resolve. The call conveniently cut out at the moment where specific details were being given and then cut back in to tell me to contact them immediately.

Calls go straight to voicemail. They do not leave phone numbers only state to go to jmlegalteam.com. They threaten legal action of I do not respond. I have not gone in not website as I do not trust anyone who cannot leave phone number or provide a reference number. The calls are from various numbers so I did not include any specific one, can provide if needed.

The voicemail said "we have made several calls to this number and have not heard back and it's gonna go back to the skip trace department for relative, neighbors, employer searches if we are not able to make contact. We have been trying to get in touch with you and spend several messages left. There's been no prior dispute to this point, we are moving forward if we don't have a resolution immediately ok. And we are here to work with if you'd rather I'll handle this yourself without having to talk to somebody again you can do that on the self-serve portal at jmlegalteam.com or just give us a call back at this number to speak with a friendly agent that can help you. We're here to help but you just gotta do that. You gotta take the first step and call us back thank you" I called back and they said they are looking for Michael Kestner which is my ex-husband and they have the last 4 of his SS number. The woman said her name was Nina and she was arguing with me when I said it was a scam. She was screaming at me saying well he is being sued by Utility (which he worked there years ago). I told them I was turning them into the ScamPulse.com and she was still screaming as I was hanging up the phone.

The scammers are continuously calling and threatening to take further actions if I don't pay. They have called from several different numbers. I called 321-306-6364 and spoke with a rep name Lexi, she had all my information. She said she could not tell me anything until I verified the info they had on file which was my name and last four of ss#. The rep claimed I opened a ******* *** card on 12/24/2024 (Yes, that is what the rep said) and charged $1,112.13 and it went to collection on 9/16/2005. I asked why wait 19 YEARS to contact me? Why isn't this on my credit report? Lexi said it was but they removed it but now they are going to put it back on. REALLY! I told her they are lying bc I have never had a ******* *** card in my life, you just said I opened the acct in Dec. 24, 2024, and you wait almost 20 years, this is nothing but a SCAM. I said you think I'm stupid but I'm not paying you anything and I'm going to report J&M Legal Team for scamming people. Lexi said if I did not pay I will be issued a summons within 24 to 48 hours. That was about a week and a half ago. Nothing ever happened. They even stopped calling me until today when I went back on the website and entered the last 4 ss number to get the info to report J&M Legal Team.

Attempting to collect a legal matter debt. Please verify the last 4 digits of your SSN. I refused to provide and SSN info and asked that a letter be sent since the call was recorded. The rep immediately stated "oh you refuse", and hung up.

I got a phone call from an unrecognized number. I didn't answer and they left me a voicemail stating the following... " That was recently sent to you was unanswered Resulting in Your Chase bill being unresolved here so to stop further actions and or possible credit reporting Please go to jmlegalteam.com to resolve this Again, that is jmlegalteam.com Or if you prefer to speak to someone and are in a position to take care of this Please call us back and an agent will assist you I urge you to take care of this now as it is very important Thank you". What's funny is, I don't have a Chase account.
