Type of a scam Online Purchase
I realized it was a scam and canceled the charge.
A couple weeks later, I received a letter from a financial institution stating someone had been attempting to log into my account. When I called, the representative walked me through changing my password and suggested cleaning my laptop for malware. I purchased an anti-malware program, which found multiple trojan viruses initiated on March 14, the date of the shoe purchase. A few days later, I received a call from a second financial institution, and again had to change my password.
I did receive a package in a plastic mailing bag several days later which felt like shoes, but were far too light to be the leather ones I had ordered. I took the unopened package to the post office and returned it refused to the sender in Los Angeles, CA. I believe the company name was Zoya.
