Approached at door with the promise of repairing my driveway with asphalt. Came on the wrong day and worked late in the day and in the dark. Asked for a cheque and promised not to cash it until the next day. He went ahead and cashed it that night. I told them before they left that I couldn't get out my side door because the asphalt was too high. He promised to come the next day to fix that part of the job. Upon looking carefully at the work once it was light out, I found the work was unacceptable and there were many areas where there was gravel showing through. I called the boss and informed him there were many problems with the work. He said he'd be over and we could discuss and he assured me the problems would be fixed. He never showed up. I called the next day, he made an excuse about needing a machine, has one rented for Monday and would be here at 9am. Monday arrives and again they didn't show up. I called again and left a message asking what's going on and to call me back. No return call. Called again the next day saying how disappointed I was, that they were scammers. He called back right away and said they have the machine and would be there on Wednesday at 11 am. No show on Wednesday. Called again and message box was full so then called the Nanaimo office and talked to David Alexander. He told me he (David) would be here Monday at 9:30 and I would be dealing directly with him now. No show again. Called at 10:30 and he said he would be here within the hour. No show. Called again at 1pm left a message. No response.
