- Cincinnati, OH, USA

I received a call for the first time today 1-17-19 around 12:30pmEST and I answered they said they had been trying to get a hold of me for six months and of course they never tried to get a hold of me once, about my back taxes. It was a live call, it was a man and said he was calling from the IRS.

- Canton, OH, USA

They call multiple times a day, and say that My family is being investigated for frauding them. (The IRS) I am a single mother and alays file my taxes, and have never had any issues. I traced the phone number to this company, and see that they scam people all over the U.S. The place it traced back to was *** *** *** -NY

I was contacted by the IRS. They said i was in default and would arrest me if i didn't pay today. I didn't have a card to pay with so they told me to go to walmart and get some Google play cards and call him back after to give him the number on the back. I thought it sounded suspicious but i was scared so i went. The young man at walmart told me something was not right. He called his manager and she told me to call the BBB. I realize it is a scam!!!!!!!!!

- Scotland, TX, USA

I received a voicemail with only half the message in my voicemail box. "And once again expired after that you will be taken under custody by the local police as there are four serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment. We would request you can get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you. The number to reach us is 518-507-5403. I repeat 518-507-5403."

I called the number back because I usually hadn't heard anyone leaving a call back number. I called, and the foreign guy said he was with the IRS. I personally know the IRS will reach out via mail. I just wanted to get this phone number added to the scammer list so others are aware.

- Fairmont, WV, USA

It was an automated call saying it was the IRS Fraud Investigation Department and for me to call immediately because I was in trouble for tax evasion that they knew I had done on purpose and to call immediately.

I did. A man with an accent picked up and identified himself by same department name and then asked how to help

I said he could help first by doing something to prove he was a legitimate agent. He said he wasn't fake. I said ok, but every day you hear about this EXACT scam on social media.

he told me I could come there and suck his *** myself to see that he is real.

I told him I knew it was a scam and I was blocking his number.. Then I hung up. and filed this.

Scam call from Fake IRS from a man in a heavy accent who bullied me into paying money. I was so upset i went to walgreens and purchased a gift card and gave him the numbers just in case it wasn't a scam, although i knew it was. I am so afraid of these calls as i never know what is real or fake.

- Germantown, TN, USA

The Fake IRS continues to call me from different numbers. When i tell them to stop calling me the cuss and threaten me. This happens all the time. I am sick of these calls.

- Garden City, ID, USA

Consumer called and advised that she received a voicemail from someone saying they were with the IRS and I have 4 charges against me and that if I didn't call within 24 hours they were going to have the local sheriff's office come and pick me up. I have tried to call it back 4 times and when I ask who is calling they hang up.

- Canton, OH, USA

Got 2 pre-recorded messages left on my answering machine while at work claiming to be from IRS. Saying they are from tax fraud division and that I had serious charges against me and that the IRS had an arrest warrant for me. Each message had a different phone number to call them back at. I knew immediately it was a scam from having read about it in the paper. I have no intention to return the calls and only saved them so I could report it

- Canton, OH, USA

At 1:12 pm on 9-5-18 - received a call on my landline, saying that the caller was the IRS - that I had 4 allegations against me (related to my tax records) -- and if I didn't reply to them within 24 hours, I would be arrested & taken to jail. They gave a return # of 352-441-3327. I hung up, and immediately reported this to my local BBB, who said they are receiving a high number of reports of the same, at this time. ScamPulse.com recommended this report.

- Memphis, TN, USA

Callers impersonated IRS Officers, giving names, badge ID numbers, and a case ID number. They claimed there were four legal counts against me after a random tax audit, and that if I did not pay over $4,000 in taxes owed or enter into a $1,500 settlement, law enforcement officers would appear at my home to arrest me for tax evasion within four business hours.

- Memphis, TN, USA

They stated if I did not make any pmt they would arrest me. They would also have someone talk to me about the payment and gave me the

214-888-9019 number. I called the 214 number but it was disconnected.

- Memphis, TN, USA

I recd a call this morning at 11:00 AM from the IRS; it was a recording. The woman stated that I was in trouble with the IRS and if I did not respond I would be arrested. I knew it was scam because I do not pay taxes; I've been retired for 6 years.

Received a phone call in my business line stating that the IRS criminal department was investigating me. I called the number they gave me and spoke with a foreign sounding person

I received a phone call from the fake IRS telling me i would be arrested if i did not give them my banking info today so they could take my money out directly. They told me to do this after i told him i could not get to Walmart to get a gift card to pay the balance of what he said i owed.

CALLS FROM 914-410-8118 TELLING ME OR MY LAWYER TO CALL THEM FOR TAX FRAUD, AND I MUST CALL BACK OR THEY WILL TAKE ACTION.

- Wichita Falls, TX, USA

This was left on my voice mail on my cell phone on Friday the 13th of July at 2:41pm and it has unknown name. (This is to inform you that IRS has issued an arrest warrant against you and within one hour you will get arrested from your house. Now you and your physical property is under state of investigation and it is very important that we hear from you before we issue the arrest warrant or any legal prosecution against you. Our department call back number with area code 914-410-8097 again the number is 914-410-8097 thank you.

- Bellevue, TX, USA

I was contacted by a Alexander Lee, badge number 429188, regarding delinquent IRS taxes for a number of years (tax years 2013, 14, thru 16). He stated that a legal process was underway to bring charges of Fraud, money laundering, willful neglect, tax evasion, and a number of other things. He stated that I should be aware of the cost in taking on a tax attorney and that the $2,704.00 that I owed for the above periods would be compounded as a result of fines and interest charges. He further indicated that a affidavit that would be filed on 6/28/2018 and that an arrest warrant issued by my county would soon follow. This individual was very convincing and seamed to have enough knowledge about IRS processes i.e. the tax code and various IRS documentation to make an uninformed person believe. We never proceeded to a request for fund transfer or payment. Please share this with all those that might fall prey to such an individual.
