I wanted to get an EIN number for my business and even though this service is free the scamming web but a website on google that comes up before the IRS website and because it looked legitimate i clicked on it. They required all the same information that the government website required and so it seemed legitimate to me. Once I paid i realized that i was not on the government website and did some research and found out from the IRS that this was likely a scam. I contacted their customer support team and they did not respond. I tried calling the phone number on the website but it went nowhere. They are refusing to refund my money because they said they warned me in the fine print that getting an EIN was free.
