When I arrived to pick up the car in the 18th. I asked the agent (Chris) if I could get the money for the unused day refunded. He stated that because I booked (prepaid) with a 3rd party that I would not be able to get it back. However, he offered for me to either get a car upgrade or add insurance. I added insurance and he gave me an upgrade. When I got home. There was a charge on my credit card for that upgrade. I disputed through my credit card and got it back.
Today, 2 1/2 months later, I get a package from FLEET RESPONSE asking for over $800 in repairs, stating loss of damage (collision). This car was NOT in an accident, nor did anything happen to it while in my possession. It remained parked in my aunts driveway the majority of the trip. This is the first communication I’ve heard of about an accident. The receiving agent for my return checked everything out and sent me in my way, not stating any “loss”. This is a scam! I’ve tried to call the number listed from the company who’s handling the “claim”. - No answer! It had to have been orchestrated by SIXT because Fleet Response has my address in order to contact me.
