An envelope received in the mail on Oct. 06/2021, red stamped from Santa Justa (Lisboa) 2021 09 28 and a square red inked stamped from Ctt Correios, Portugal with only my address on it and no return address. A letter with contact information and stating "Final Award Notification", Lucky Winner of the MEGA MILLIONS INTERNATIONAL LOTTERY 2020 DRAW held on JUNE 25, 2021. Letter said a previous notification was returned undelivered due to mix up of names. Therefore, they resent this one with a ticket number 025-11-464-992-700 drew the lucky numbers 4-13-21-27-36-45 Bonus Ball 45, which won in the 3rd category. Approved lump sum pay of $4,200,000.00 US Dollars in Cash Credited to Claim File NO: EDA/202145450032. This is from a Total Cash Prize of $256,756.420.00 shared among International winners in this category. The program was designed and promoted by EU with collaboration of US Goverment, United Nations, The World Bank and some other International Lottery Institutions. The letter even has colored Logos from those mentioned above such The World Bank. The letter states "To enable us proceed with your claims, this information must be kept away from the public to avoid unwarranted abuse of the program or fraudulent claims by unauthorized person(s). All participants were selected through a computer ballot system drawn from Europe, America, Australia, Asia, Middle East, North and South America as part of or International promotions program. The letter says to contact Dr. Castle Luther, the Foreign Service Manager Remittance Officer of Citi Security and Finance with a telephone number, 01134-627-942-048, Fax number and an email, [email protected]. Lines open Monday to Friday 9AM to 10 PM, Saturday 9AM to 6PM (GMT)." The letter goes on to say that I was supposed to show up at the Madrid office to claim and sign legalization documents but because of the global lockdown, I have the option of a certified cheque delivered to me by their accredited diplomat of which the charges will be taken care of by me, or the option of a wire transfer directly made to my account but the transfer and insurance fees will apply and these are the responsibility of the winner in order to avoid unnecessary delay and complicaiton. Also, a 5% of the winning prize belongs to CITI SECURITY & FINANCE as part of their commission for acting on my behalf. This letter has a signature above Mr. Alexandra Christiano, President Mega Millions Commission, NTL. Promotional Programs Golden Chance.

Received my "award letter" yesterday. They seem to be targeting older Americans. I pretty much figured it was a scam, but some people may not. Shameful!

My name attached to winning numbers and "You have therefore been approved for a lump Sum Pay of $2,800,000.00 (two Million Eight Hundred Thousand United States Dollars. The letter goes on and on about how I was supposed to be present in Madrid, blah, blah, blah. Also be informed that 5% belongs to PROSEGUR SECURITY COMPANY as part of their commission. Transfer and insurance fees will apply.

The envelope had no return address. The post mark was from Portugal
