I received a call from the number listed. I answered and the lady said “ hi this is ( I don’t remember the first name given) ”. Then she said “ can you hear me ok”. Then I heard a click, as if she hung up. I said “ hello” and then the voice went into a spill about “everyone needs insurance” . I hung up but realized they were just trying to get me to say “ yes” to their question. This sounded very much like a real person and not a robocall. I was actually waiting for a call from the hospital and thought it was them and i didn’t realize what was happening until it was too late. Not sure how this will be used since it just happened today, but I will be on the lookout!

This number called me twice before I answered. The company told me that car insurance laws were changing in 2017, and then they asked me if I had car insurance and who it was through. When I told them I was not sure of the company, the man hung up the phone. I tried calling back, and the number said all circuits are busy.

I received 3 calls in a row from 401-262-5682 phone number from West Warwick, RI. I am in California. I picked up the 3rd call. Justin introduced himself as being from an insurance company. He started asking questions. I tried to clarify who he was, and why was he calling. He hung up. I'm reporting because I have been reading about scam callers trying to get a recorded affirmative answer "yes" to use as authorization. I believe this was one of those calls.

They asked if we wanted to speak to a specialist regarding an insurance quote, when my husband said "yes" they immediately hung up. When we called the number back it was not an insurance company.
