Whoever this person is, hijacked my friend's Instagram account and tried to contact all his friends/family from the account. The person pretended to be my friend Chuck and said he was receiving 90,000 in free government grant money to start a business. He gave me a number and told me to text the number to sign up. There was no answer on the number when I tried to call, but they did reply in text. After the scammer replied and said that I was able to receive the grant (with only my name) I knew something was strange. I contacted my friend's cell phone number he answered and said it was a scam and he has reported it several times to Instagram because a lot of his friends had been contacted by the same person. Instagram still had still not removed the hijacked / fake account.
