I applied for a position titled “Administrative Data Assistant” with The Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso Inc. Shortly after applying, I received an email stating that I had been shortlisted and was instructed to contact a "Hiring Manager" via Signal Messenger using a personal phone number.

The email included an unrealistically high hourly wage of $31.95/hr, minimal job details, and pressured me to respond immediately. The email contained several red flags, including poor grammar, vague instructions, and a request to communicate via an encrypted messaging app (Signal), which is highly unprofessional and a common tactic in job scams.

I have not shared any personal information or contacted the individual. I am reporting this to help protect others from falling victim.
