I received an Email that appeared to be from American Airlines. The email read something like this, AA American Airlines reduced international airfares to Europe. I ws planning a trip to Switzerland in September of 2025. I contacted this airlinedesks, reportedly an approved 3rd party booking agent for American Airlines. They were professional and verified they represent American Airlines, etc. I paid the roundtrip travel from the U.S. to Switzerland. This was back in April. Friday, June 27, 2025, I checked my reservation using my verification code. To my surprise the reply read FLIGHT CANCELLED! I called the booking agent, they seemed surprised and would look into it. I also called American Airlines to report my finding. American Airlines (AA) was surprised also. They reported this to Fraud Dept. and also to [email protected]. Hopefully all can be resolved but so far nothing positive has been reported.
