Ice Cabin sells an ice plunge product for inflammation reduction, etc. When you order their product, the check out cart by default includes a "free" 5-year protection plan. You pay the amount indicated for the product, including shipping and tax. I believe there is a box on the checkout screen that requires you to "agree to their terms and conditions." You assume this relates to their warranty provisions, etc., so you click it without giving it a second thought (as you do with 99% of every app download or other product you purchase on line). Five days later, they charge $99 to your credit card for the "free" 5-year protection plan that they added to your initial purchase. When I contacted them to resolve, they told me that their terms and conditions (which I agreed to) explain that the 5-year protection plan is free for the first 5 days and then they will bill your credit card for the first 2 years of the plan. Then, 30 days later, they will bill your credit card $99 again for the next 2 years of the plan, and so on. This is a patently illegal tying arrangement.
