I was on my computer and suddenly a message filled the whole screen saying that I was infected with a virus and to call 1-888-887-1633. I couldn't exit out of the screen so I called the number. I asked if they were with Microsoft and was given a reply that lead me to believe they were. they took over my computer and said there were many viruses and that they could clean it up and put a 'sonic" security system on it. since I was a senior citizen, I could get a years tech support and 5 years security for a check for $398.65. while the guy ( Suri Singh) said they were in NC, I was to sent the check to their billing co., I and M Infotech LLC, po Box 3666, Gilbert, AZ 85299. I found out the next day that another friend had had this happen and it was a scam. I tried to change the password on my computer and was unable and then the screen froze again. I unplugged everything and took my computer to a IT person who said there was no security system on it and he cleaned it up an changed the password for me . this company keeps calling and wanting their money. I have no paid and have put more security on my computer and hopefully credit also. this sounds just like what I just read here that others have experienced.
